Dinner at French Laundry
When Doug’s cousin told us he was surprising his wife for dinner at French Laundry we were begging to tag along! Lucky for us they had a reservation for four so we all got to celebrate together. Growing up in the Bay Area I had always wanted to go to French Laundry, but it’s such an extravagance that I had never made it happen. Late last year I went for the first time, we took my parents and had an incredible time. I was so excited when we had the opportunity to come back.
Sun in our eyes, ready for snacks!
Thinking I probably should have worn spandex, but still super in love with this dress from KEEPSAKE THE LABEL - it’s still available (in red too!) HERE
I’m not a meat eater, so I did the vegetarian tasting, which was AMAZING, but this was Doug’s and it smelled so good!
These little tomatoes had more flavor than I thought was possible.
our beautiful dates for the night Lisa and Dominic!
Masterpiece in chocolate
Posing with my hunny
Staple at French Laundry, it’s served like a little ice cream cone!
This might have been one of the most delicious things I’ve ever tasted, it was a black truffle omelette. Unreal.
So special! We got to take a look at the kitchen, which is so pristine it’s like an operating room, I couldn’t believe it.
I was so impressed with the produce, everything tasted like it was picked 5 minutes before it arrived on your plate.
As we left we walked by the garden where they grow their own produce!
Beautiful end to an incredible evening.
